Tuesday Dec. 10, 2024 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen’s awake with Tom by her side, accepting sips of water vía swab.

  • 8:40am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:45am Blood pressure: 100/65, P 68.

  • 8:50am Merianne and I started the day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Diaper is dry and clear, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:10am Breakfast: 6oz prune juice with 1/2 cap of Miralax, scrambled egg with fresh pese, activia yogurt and a cup of water. Coughed twice, suction pump used.

  • 9:35am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

  • 9:50am Oral care.

  • 10:00 Facial routine performed.

  • Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap

  • Maureen stayed awake most of the time after her morning routine, only closing her eyes for a few minutes. In the meantime, she had half cup of water.

  • 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacramental, barrier cream to inner thighs area, then positioned on her right side.

  • 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper is dry and clear, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • 12:45pm Lunch: White beans soup, tuna salas, fresh tomatoe, a cup of coconut water, and chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Maureen had a short sneezing/coughing episode while having lunch.

  • 1:35pm Oral care.

  • 2:20pm Maureen’s alert and relaxed while listening to Christmas carols, in the meantime, had 1/4 cup of water.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, inserted a suppository, and then positioned on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Clean/change a dry diaper with an Extra large-formed BM. Dressed and headed to the living area.

  • 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melón/pear/kiwi), and 1/4 cup of water.
