Tuesday, August 26, 2025 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s calmly opening her eyes, accepting sips of water via swab soon after.

• 8:30am Maureen went back to sleep.

• 9:10am Maureen is awake, we raised her bed to administer 75 mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:12am Blood pressure: 98/55.

  Pulse: 58

  O2: 95

• 9:17am Saline Neb treatment.

• 9:27am Marianne and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a dry diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:45am Administered 10mg loratadine with apple sauce.

• 9:47am Breakfast: 9oz lemon water, scrambled egg with banana and 7oz coffee with cream. Maureen coughed three times and sneezed once during meal.

• 10:20am Oral care and facial routine performed.

• 10:35am We go with Maureen for a walk in the neighborhood, she stayed alert all the way.

• Once back, Maureen drank 9oz electrolyte mix water.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting period. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 12:45pm Saline Neb treatment.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Zucchini soup, tuna salad with beet, and 9oz apple juice. Maureen coughed four times and sneezed twice during meal.

• 1:45pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen’s been doing very well today, eating and drinking enthusiastically, no signs of congestión and it seems that the strength in arms is back. She’s now sitting in good posture very alert while watching a TV program.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, positioned on her right side.

• Carolyn visits.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon) with 1oz ginger water.

• Total liquids ingested: 35oz.
