Thursday September 2, 2021 Swingshift Update

• 4:00pm Maureen is lying in the recliner, having just returned from the bedroom for a change.

• 6:04pm Maureen’s pull-up is slightly wet so we proceeded to the bathroom. After 10 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. We cleaned up thoroughly, put on a new pull-up, and headed to the kitchen for dinner.

• 6:26pm Dinner time. Maureen enjoyed a meatloaf, green peas with corn, and chicken pasta. She also drank one cup of water. Maureen’s posture on the Geri chair is great with assistance of the green wedge pillows. She did not cough during her meal.

• 7:19pm Administered 5mg OLANZAPINE and 7.5mL VIMPAT.

• 7:25pm Oral care. Used little brush to remove debris from between the gaps of Maureen’s teeth followed by a rinse of Peroxyl and warm salt water. Brushed with toothpaste after.

• 7:42pm Bedtime. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Pull-up is wet, cleaned and changed to a new diaper. A&D ointment applied to pressure sore on bottom and bug bite. Ciclopirox applied to both right and left big toe. Maureen is turned on her left side.
