Thursday October 10, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen sleeps lying on her left side.

• 8:40 Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. She opened her eyes very briefly 30 minutes ago, received sips of water and went back to sleep.

• 8:50am Joanna and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Diaper it’s dry and clean, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:10am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with a full activia yogurt, and a cup of lemon water. Maureen had a coughing/sneezing episode during breakfast.

• Daily Miralax dosage: full cap

• 9:20am Administered 10mg Loratadine and 100mg Colace (chopped), with smoothie.

• 9:35am Oral care.

• 9:40am Saline and Albuterol Neb treatment.

• 10:05am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 10:20am We go with Maureen for a walk around the neighborhood. She stayed awake and relaxed back all the way.

• Back home, Maureen stayed alert, having few sips of water before her break.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for

  Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper it’s dry, positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a heavy diaper with a Medium-firmed BM, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area, then transferred to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Blood pressure: 98/62, P 71.

• 12:50pm Lunch: Broccoli soup, chicken salad, cherry tomatoes and a full cup of coconut water. Coughed twice.

• 1:35pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen sits relaxed and alert watching a Disney movie.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy diaper, positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), and 1/4 cup of ginger tea.

• Maureen seemed to be tired at the beginning of the day, when we got her up. Thankfully, she gradually regained her strength and by the end of our walk she was more alert and stayed awake the whole day. We noticed that coughing and phlegm was minimal. As always, she ate all her meals with enthusiasm. 🙏
