Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Arrived with Maureen calmly sleeping, and facing left side. Tom informed that Maureen had a very mild episode with slight twitching around 6:05am that lasted for 10mins.


8:35AM - Maureen still sleeping.


8:56AM - Maureen woke up from her sleep with mild twitching (no clenched jaw or fists noted), pulse raised at 110bpm for approximately 3mins then down to 80s, thereafter - continued twitching for 10mins.


9:25AM - Raised the bed up and in upright position, we administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.


9:35AM - Maureen looking ready to start her day. We washed her upper body with warmed purple wipes. Red spot on back side of the underarm almost gone, we applied thin layer of Nystatin cream. Diaper was medium wet with medium soft bowel movement. We thoroughly cleaned then changed her. Finished dressing then headed to the kitchen.


9:55AM - Breakfast started with 6oz prune juice with 1/4 cap MiraLAX, oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 2tsp yogurt. Coughed 2x and sneezed 2x. Maureen able to coughed up the phlegm.


MiraLAX daily dose - 1/4 cap


10:20AM - Administered Loratadine with the smoothie.


10:25AM - BP: 118/70, P: 85bpm


10:30AM - Oral care. Reclinee geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort.


10:35AM - Eye care and eye drops routine. Facial and hand care routine followed.


11:00AM - Maureen comfortably snoozing on chair.


**Maureen has been more relaxed and not stiff today compared yesterday.


11:45AM - Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen's 1st rest break. Diaper was dry. Positioned facing her right side at 11:55am.


12:45PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was still dry. Finished dressing then transferred to the kitchen.


12:55PM - Lunch was chicken salad, fresh tomato, veggie soup and yogurt. No coughs.


**We reclined geri chair one notch in the middle of eating her lunch because Maureen was leaning forward a little bit.


1:30PM - Oral care.


2:00PM - Maureen sitting comfortably on her chair, awake.


2:20PM - Finished 3/4 cup of lemon water.


2:30PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was heavy wet with very small soft bowel movement. We cleaned and changed, positioned to face her left side.


3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was dry. Transferred to the front room.


3:40PM - Fruit snack (kiwi, pear and watermelon). No coughs.


4:30PM - Maureen comfortably sitting on her recliner watching her fave game shows.


**Sips of lemon water.


5:00PM - Dinner was chicken fajita casserole which Maureen enjoyed eating and finished her cup of lemon water. Coughed 2x.


6:00PM - Administered 5mg Olanzapine with apple sauce and 12.5mg Vimpat.


6:10PM - Kathy came by to visit Maureen.


6:15PM - Oral care. Maureen already sleeping on the recliner.


6:20PM - BP: 110/70, P: 72bpm


6:30PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was heavy wet with small soft bowel movement. Cleaned and changed. Applied Nystatin powder on the almost gone red spot on the side of her underarm. Applied Cavilon cream on folds. Applied Cetaphil lotion on both arms and legs. Positioned to face her left side with 2 wedges on her back and pillow in between legs.


6:50PM - Maureen sleeping.
