8:00am Maureen is awake. She is lying on her right side.
9:00am our day begins. Maureen’s diaper is wet- we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied barrier film, followed by Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Cleaned under Maureen’s right breast, waistline, and inner right forearm using Aloe Vesta cleansing spray. These areas were slightly red so we applied a thin layer of Nystatin cream. Applied Tylocen to both right and left big toe. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after.
9:26am Administered thyroid medication before breakfast. Maureen will eat a bowl of oatmeal, banana, and drink 4 oz of prune juice and a cup of water.
9:54am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce followed by a spoonful of honey.
9:59am Oral care.
10:13am Facial routine.
10:48am Maureen dozed off for 15 minutes while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
11:10am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet- cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper.
11:19am Maureen will rest in bed for one hour. She is turned to her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.
12:30pm, rise and shine … Barb and I changed her from a medium wet diaper, a small formed BM also … the usual cleaning process took place and a fresh diaper was put on, dressed and the sling was put in place. The Hoyer lift was used to transfer to the Geri chair, brought out to the kitchen for lunch.
12:50pm, a 1/2 a ham sandwich on toasted whole wheat bread was prepared along with a 12 oz bottle of coconut water was had.
1:30pm, abbreviated oral care, visit from Vicky and Colleen Murphy, then went to the recliner to watch DA BEARS!
2:45pm, we took Maureen to the bedroom for a change, medium wet, cleaned and changed, and back to recliner.
3:30pm, Brian arrived with dinner, we adjourned to the kitchen, said grace and enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
About 5:00, we went back to the front room to take a rest, before having a variety of delicious desserts.
6:15pm, Carolyn and I took Maureen to the bedroom, did evening meds, oral care and cleanup in bed. We changed her medium wet diaper and cleaned well and prepped for bed … TOLCYLEN on big toes, Vick’s on throat and chest, and laying on her left side, asleep by 7:20.
