Thursday, March 13, 2025 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen sleeps lying on her left side.

  • 8:30am Maureen recently opened her her eyes, accepted sips of water and went back to sleep.

  • 9:00am Maureen’s still asleep.

  • 9:35am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:45am Joanna and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with a very small-brownish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum and to the, almost healed redness spot by her outer anal area, applied barrier cream to inner thighs. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

  • 10:05 Breakfast: 9oz of lemon water, soft scrambled, pear and 8oz of apple cider. Coughed twice, suction pump used once.

  • No Miralax administered

  • 10:45am Oral care.

  • 10:55am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

  • 11:00am Kelsie, RN arrives for Maureen’s weekly visit:

    Lungs are clear

    Temperature: 97.3

    Pulse: 68

    BP: 106/64

    Arm circ: 22cm

    Thigh circ: 31.5cm

  • Maureen stayed alert for the rest of the morning, having 6oz of lemon water before her break.

  • 11:45am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

  • 12:45pm First break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

  • 1:00pm Lunch: Chicken noodle soup, avocado and 9oz sparkling water. Coughed three times.

  • 2:20pm Maureen sits alert listening to her playlist. In the meantime, she had 3oz of lemon water.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, positioned on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

  • 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).

  • Ingested fluids: 35oz
