Thursday Dec. 5, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen woke recently, accepted sips of water soon after. She’s lying on her left side.

• 8:40 Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:45am Blood pressure: 108/64, P 68.

• 8:50am Joanna and I started the day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no rednes observed. Clean/change a dry diaper with very small -yellowish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:10am Breakfast: 6oz prune juice with 1/2 cap of Miralax, scrambled egg with pear, activia yogurt and fresh orange juice. Coughed four times.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.

• 10:00am Oral care.

• 10:10am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 11:20am Maureen’s sitting with relaxed arms while listening to Christmas music, she closed her eyes for about 20 minutes before her break.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting period. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with an X-Large-formed BM ( better described as XXL), positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper is dry and clear, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Gerri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Veggies tamale, fresh tomato, a full cup of sparkling water, and carrots cupcake for dessert. Coughed once.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen stayed awake the whole time after lunch. In the meantime, she had half cup of ginger tea.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry and clear, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), and half cup of ginger tea.
