Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023 - Daytime Update

• 8:00AM - Maureen is still sleeping when I came in, Dalia is at bedside. Dalia informed that Maureen has been sleeping since 6:30am.

• 8:30AM - Maureen is still sleeping.

• 9:29AM - Maureen woke up and started twitching slightly with tongue clicking. Mild episode lasted for 10mins. Pulse rate raised to 120-124bpm for 4mins then went down to high 80s, thereafter.

• 9:55AM - We raised the bed up, administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 10:05AM - We started Maureen's day, washed her upper body with warmed purple wipes. No redness on skin observed. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed her. Finished dressing then transferred to the kitchen.

• 10:15AM - Breakfast started with 6oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie, sips of coffee and yogurt. Coughed 3x, sneezed 2x. Use suction machine once. **Reclined geri chair after for Maureen's comfort.

• 10:55AM - Oral care.

• 11:15AM - Eye care/eye drops routine.

• 11:20AM - Facial and hand care routine.

• 11:35AM - BP: 103/62, P: 78bpm

• 11:45AM - Maureen looking sleepy while in her recliner. Closing her eyes in between periods for a nap.

• **Sips of water

• 12:00AM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a short rest break this time since we started today late. Diaper was dry, positioned to face her right side starting at 12:05am.

• 12:40AM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper is still dry. Transferred to the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:50PM - Lunch was hummus, parm crisps, 12oz rootbeer and a piece of Carolyn's home-made Kolacky. Maureen enjoyed lunch. Coughed 2x.

• 1:30PM - Oral care.

• 2:05PM - We decided to give Maureen a Nebulizer treatment with Saline Sol'n because we can hear crackling in her throat which Maureen has been trying to cough up since this morning.

• 2:30PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was heavy wet, we cleaned and changed her. Positioned to face her left side at 2:38pm.

• 3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was dry. Transferred Maureen to the front room.

• 3:38PM - Fruit snack (kiwi, pear and melon) time. Coughed 2x.

• 4:30PM - Maureen comfortably sitting on the recliner watching game shows - looking sleepy but awake.

• **Diaper was dry.

• **BP: 110/63, P: 70bpm

• 4:55PM - Sips of water. Maureen giving us a few smiles.

• 5:10PM - Dinner was ham, cauliflower and mashed potato. Maureen finished a cup of lemon water. Coughed 2x, sneezed 3x. Used suction machine once.

• 5:50PM - Administered 5mg Olanzapine with apple sauce and 12.5ml Vimpat.

• 6:10PM - Oral care.

• 6:25PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was still dry, waited few minutes for Maureen to pee but nothing. We cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon cream on folds. Applied Cetaphil lotion on face, arms and legs. Positioned to face her left side, pillow in between legs and 2 wedges on the back.

• 6:50PM - Maureen is sleeping.
