Thursday August 31, 2023 Daytime update

  • 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side.

  • 7:00am She’s still asleep.

  • 7:30am Maureen slightly opened her eyes a few times to go back to sleep.

  • 8:00am Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 8:30am Maureen’s just woke up , little twitching for a few minutes. Pulse: 70-84, O2: 96.

  • 8:45am Maureen’s fully awake, we raised her bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:50am Emily and I started the day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Diaper was dry but we changed anyway, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. We noticed a small clear vaginal discharge. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:15am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 6oz prune juice with 1/4 cap of Miralax and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed once.

  • 9:30am 10mg Loratadine administered.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

  • 9:35am Morning oral care.

  • 9:45am Saline Neb treatment.

  • 9:55am Eyes care and facial routine performed.

  • 10:10am Maureen’s snoozing in the chair.

  • 10:45am Blood pressure: 85/67, pulse 73 (digital), we’re still practicing with the manual one on ourselves.

  • BP med omitted because of the above results.

  • 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was dry. Positioned on her right side at 11:10am

  • 12:00pm First break ends. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and a md formed bowel movement. No vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:15pm Lunch: Brussels sprouts soup, tuna salad, steamed baby carrots, full cup of sparkling water and Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed once.

  • 12:40pm Oral care.

  • 1:25pm Blood pressure: 118/70, pulse 67.

  • She finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

  • Maureen’s energy level improved significantly in the afternoon. She’s not sleep at all.

  • 2:00pm Transferred maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper and positioned on her Lt side at 2:15pm.

  • 3:15pm Second break ends. Clea and changed a md wet diaper and a md formed bowel movement. No vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the living area.

  • 3:35pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon comb and pear). She didn’t cough.
