Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen was awake, lying on her left side. Tom at bedside with Maureen, gave her water via swap. Tom informed that Maureen woke up around 7:20am.

8:20AM - Maureen closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

8:40AM - Maureen woke up. Waited 3-5mins and administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

8:52AM - Me and Joanna started to wash Maureen's upper body with warmed purple wipes. No redness/rashes on the skin. Diaper was dry - no vaginal discharges, we cleaned/dried and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum, and Cavilon cream on folds. We dressed Maureen and moved to the kitchen.

9:00AM - Breakfast started with cut up pear and warm coffee. Maureen had oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1 spoonful of Metamucil, yogurt and a cup of lemon water.

9:30AM - Administered 10mg of Loratadine with smoothie.

9:40AM - Administered 1 tab Metronidazole 500mg with yogurt.

9:50AM - Oral care.

9:55AM - Eye care/ eye drops routine. Facial and hand care routine followed.

BP: 108/63, P: 69 bpm

10:05AM - Going out for a walk.

10:55AM - Arrived home from walk. Maureen stayed awake the whole time and loved it.

She had sips of water. Closed her eyes for a nap when we arrived.

11:30AM - Maureen had half a cup of lemon water. We transferred her to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was medium wet - we cleaned/dried and changed her. Position to face he right side.

12:35PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was dry. We proceed to dressed Maureen and moved to the kitchen.

12:45PM - **Reclined geri chair one notch for comfort.

Lunch was egg salad, fresh tomato and chicken noodle soup. Maureen finished a cup of sparkling water. Coughed 2x.

1:20PM - Administered 1 tab of 500mg Metronidazole with yogurt.

1:30PM - Oral care.

2:00PM - Nebulizer treatment - Saline soln.

2:30PM - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was heavy wet, we cleaned/dried and changed her. Position to face the left side.

We are almost done reading the "Worse Case" novel by James Patterson.

3:35PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was heavy wet, we cleaned/dried and changed Maureen. Finished dressing and moved to the front room.

3:45PM - Fruit snack time (kiwi, pear, and lemon). Maureen had sips of water.
