Thursday, April 6. Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping deeply.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

  • 9:00 am- No change, Maureen is still soundly sleeping.

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen stretched and moved her hands, but didn't open her eyes, she is back to deep sleep.

  • 10:22 am- Maureen opened her eyes, in the next minute she started twitching , her eyes were wide open, but blinking. Her jaw clenched, her tongue was making the clicking sound. Pulse was 84 when we placed the oxymeter. It was between 95 - 110 for a few minutes, It went up to 122 briefly then it started coming down slowly. It stayed between the 100 - 105 for about 10 minutes. It took another 10 minutes to come back to 70-s. It took about 25 minutes for Maureen to stop twitching and come out of it.

  • 11:00 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We washed Maureen's upper body. No redness was observed. Dressed Maureen and headed to the kitchen.

  • 11:15 pm- Because of the late start of the day, we opted for half a smoothie for breakfast. We started with administering Levothyroxine with apple sauce and giving Maureen 4 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax. Maureen coughed once.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 11:35 am- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril with apple sauce.

  • 11:40 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

  • 11:45 am- Eye wash and eye drops.

  • 11:50 am- Facial routine.

  • 12:30 pm- Maureen is resting in the chair. She finished her first cup of lemon water. Her nose is not running, she doesn't look tired or sleepy. Posture in the chair is good. We were happy to see a few smiles.

  • 1:00 pm- Lunch- chicken noodle soup, tuna salad, steamed Brussels sprouts, cup of water with a little coconut water for taste. Maureen coughed five times during lunch.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:50 pm- Maureen finished her second cup of water.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a change and her only rest break today. Diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:15 pm.

  • 3:30 pm- Rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- pear and watermelon. Maureen is really enjoying the fruit, eating with great energy!
