As part of Joanna’s birthday gift, Tom is publishing the blog today …

4:00, Maureen was relaxing in her recliner watching her programs on tv. Joanna was ”treated” to a rendition of HAPPY BIRTHDAY, by Carolyn, Brian and myself, I think she enjoyed it …We surprised her with a delicious cake which we had to have immediately, oh, so good!!!

Jose’ even stopped in for a piece of cake and sat to chat for a while.

6:00, we transferred Maureen to the wheelchair and bed, using the Hoyer lift, the diaper was medium wet so she was cleaned up and changed. We noticed that Maureen’s abdominal area was starting to get the rash again, Joanna applied a thin layer of NYASTATIN to the skin, patted into the skin and finished securing the fresh diaper. Once we finished changing, we transferred to the Geri chair and then out to the kitchen for dinner. We finished off the chicken and veggie casserole from the other night, still delicious, thanks Carolyn!!!

After having a little more cake for dessert, 5mg OLANZAPINE and 7.5ml of VIMPAT were administered.

7:00, Oral care, cleanup and Cetaphil lotion applied, fresh t-shirt for bedtime. We then transferred Maureen to the bed, found that she was dry, so more Cetaphil was applied to her legs, TOLCYLEN was applied to both big toenails, resting on her left side with two wedge pillows behind her and the small white pillow between her legs.
