Sunday, September 14 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, she is comfortably laying on her left side.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 9.15 am- Maureen opened her eyes. She is calm. No signs of discomfort.

  • 9:25 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 9:30 am- We started the day with changing a medium wet diaper. Cleaned, applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on inner tights. Then we washed Maureen’s upper body. No redness observed. Dressed Maureen and transferred to the recliner.

  • 9:50 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 10:05 am - Maureen had 8 oz of water .

  • 10:10 am - Breakfast- omelette, a piece of pear, 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen had two dry coughs, sneezed twice.

  • 10:45 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

  • 10::50 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:55 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy arrived in the house for Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet with a large formed bowel movement in. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred to the recliner.

  • 12:55 pm- Lunch- Squash soup, half of a toasted turkey and cheese sandwich,baked apple for dessert, 8 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice. She is not much receptive to the water today. She keeps holding it in her mouth and spits it out.

  • 1:40 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. She will lay down for an hour starting at 2:00 .

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen took a half an hour nap. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:15 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and banana. Maureen coughed twice. She had 5 oz of water.

  • 4:45 pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Vegetable lasagna, 5 oz of lemon water. Maureen coughed three times, was able to get out some phlegm. She sneezed many times.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Washed her face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
