Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Came in with an already awake Maureen - facing her left side. According to Tom, Maureen has been awake since 7:00am.

8:30AM - In an upright position, we administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

8:40AM - We started Maureen's day by washing her upper body with warmed purple wipes. Diaper was medium wet, no redness on skin observed. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on folds. Finished dressing then headed to the kitchen.

9:00AM - BP: 100/70, 72

9:05AM - We started the breakfast with 8oz prune juice with 1/4 cap MiraLAX, half cut up pear. Maureen enjoyed her omelette, finished a cup of lemon water and couple spoonfuls of yogurt. Coughed 2x.

Daily dose of MiraLAX - 1/4 cap

9:45AM - Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

10:00AM - Oral care.

10:05AM - Facial and hand care.

10:15AM - Tom filed Maureen's nails and cleaned both ears.

*** We reclined Maureen's geri chair in the middle of eating her breakfast because she was leaning forward a little bit. Maureen was a little bit quite today but says few words. Looking sleepy but stayed awake.

11:05AM - Deacon Andy arrived for Maureen's regular Sunday service.

11:15AM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was dry. Positioned to face on her right side starting at 11:25AM.

12:25PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was heavy wet, we cleaned and changed Maureen. Then, transferred to the kitchen.

12:40PM - Oatmeal/fruit smoothie for lunch which Maureen enjoyed. Finished her 12oz of sparkling water and had a couple spoonfuls of yogurt. Sneezed 2x.

1:10PM - Oral care

1:20PM - Weather is nice outside and Tom decided that we take Maureen for a walk.

2:15PM - Came back from walk. We also stopped by at the park to watch kids play baseball. Maureen enjoyed the walk outside, sunny and breezy. Stayed awake the whole time.

** Maureen had quarter a cup of lemon water when we arrived from walk outside.

2:20PM - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and inserted suppository to aid bowel movement. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:30PM.

3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet with large formed bowel movement. We cleaned and changed Maureen thoroughly. Then, transferred to the front room.

3:50PM - Fruit snack (melons). Coughed once.

4:30PM - Maureen comfortably sitting on her recliner watching a football game. Go Bears!

5:20PM - Maureen loved her dinner which was pork tenderloin with bbq sauce, apple sauerkrat and spinach. She finished a whole cup of cold ginger tea. Coughed once, sneezed once.

6:00PM - BP: 110/80, 74

6:15PM - Administered 5mg Olanzapine with apple sauce and 12.5ml Vimpat.

6:30PM - Oral care.

6:50PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was heavy wet. We cleaned and changed. Applied Cetaphil lotion on arms and legs. Positioned Maureen facing left side, 2 wedges on the back and pillow in between legs.

7:05PM - Maureen's asleep.
