Sunday, October 6 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen was awake. Tom was giving her some water via swab. She was laying on her left side.

  • 8:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:40 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was heavy wet. There was no discharge or blood. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Washed her upper body. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:00 am- Breakfast- 8 oz of prune juice with 1 cup of Miralax, omlet , one Activia yogurt. Maureen coughed three times and was able to cough up some phlegm.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1 cup.

  • 9:40 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin and one crushed colace tablet with apple sauce.

  • 10:00 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:05 am- Morning facial routine.

  • 10 :15 am- We transferred Maureen to the living room in anticipation of deacon Andy coming.

  • 10:45 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy came for the Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Her diaper was dry. We just checked for any discharge, it was clean . Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:35 am.

  • 12:35 pm- Maureen's first rest break is over. Diaper is still dry. She was moving her legs, but didn't urinate. We dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- Oatmeal smoothie, cup of coconut water. She coughed a couple of times.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet and she had an extra large formed bowel movement. We cleaned thoroughly and changed her. No vaginal discharge observed. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:00 pm.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen's second rest break ends. Diaper is dry. We dressed her and transferred to the living room.

  • 3:10 pm- Maureen is relaxing in the recliner, enjoying Sister Roberta's treatment.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack. No coughs.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Chicken and dumplings with vegetables, half of a baked apple, cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 6:00 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:15 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet. There was a little clear vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and hands. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her upper and lower extremities. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

Sunday March 8th Daytime Summary

-9:30am Maureen was awake, Tom gave her a few swabs of water & she fell back asleep. Made Sunday omelet & made more pear puree. -10:00am Maureen is awake, we put her in a upright position & gave her 7
