Sunday, October 5 Daytime update

8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, comfortably laying on her left side.
8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.
8:35 am- Maureen is waking up. She is relaxed, no signs of distress or discomfort.

8:45 am- We raised her bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.
8:50 am- Tom and changed a medium wet diaper. Cleaned Maureen, applied Sureprep barrier film wipe on sacrum, Cavilon cream on inner tights. Washed Maureen’s upper body, dressed and transferred to the wheelchair. Headed to the kitchen.
9:05 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.
9:30 am- Maureen finished 10 oz of electrolyte water.
9:45 am- Maureen is having breakfast outside- omelette, half of banana, 8 oz of lemon water. She coughed three times. Her nose was running.
1030 am- Morning oral care.
11:10 am- Maureen finished 10 oz of sparkling water. No coughs.
11:15 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.
11:30 am- We got inside and transferred Maureen to bed. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lay down on her right side for an hour starting at 11:45 am.
During Maureen’s break I cleaned her face and hands from the sunscreen and performed a face and hand care routine.
12:45 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over now . Diaper was medium wet with e medium formed bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner
1.05 pm- Lunch- Lentils soup, chicken and veggies pasta, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed four times, sneezed a few times. Her nose was running again.
2:00 pm- Oral care.
2:10 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet with a medium soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:20 pm.
3:20 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.
3:45 - Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and apple. Two coughs.
4:30 pm- Maureen finished 10 oz of water mixed with coconut water.
4:40 pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.
5:00 pm- Dinner- Walleye fish, cauliflower and peas. Maureen also had 5 oz of water. She coughed three times, sneezed twice.
5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.
6:10 pm- Evening oral care.
6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet with a small soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Applied Cavilon cream. We cleaned her face and hands and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
