Sunday, October 27 Daytime update

• 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping .

• 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

• 9:00 am- Maureen is still sound asleep

• 9:20 am- Maureen calmly opened her eyes. We positioned her on her back . She closed her eyes and went back to sleep again.

• 9:40 am- Maureen’s eyes are still closed. We hear a moaninging sound, she is moving her left leg a lot. We decided to start the day, hoping that she would wake up during the process. Diaper was medium wet. There was a little vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Washed her upper body. Dressed and raised the bed. Maureen’s eyes were still closed. She barely opened them when she tasted the apple sauce. We were able to administer 75 mcg of Levothyroxine . Maureen closed her eyes immediately after that. She continues to move her legs.

• 10:00 am- We put the bed head down. Maureen’s eyes were still closed. Gave her some time to wake up by herself.

• 10:15 am- Maureen’s eyes are still closed, but we decided to proceed and get her to the kitchen. She opened her eyes a little during the transfer.

• 10:30 am- Maureen looks sleepy, but her eyes are open now. We started the breakfast- omelette, 4 oz of prune juice with 1/4 cup of Miralax, Activia yogurt, cup of water. Maureen coughed twice, sneezed twice. She was moving her legs from time to time.

• 10:55 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin and the crushed antibiotic. Maureen is barely keeping her eyes open.

• 11:20 am- Morning oral care.

• 11:25 am- Facial routine.

• Maureen’s eyes are closed.

• 12:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Her diaper is dry. We positioned her on the right side of. She is sleeping and did not wake up during the transfer. Applied a pea size of Triamcinolone0.1 % cream on her left hand.

• 12:30 pm- Maureen is sleeping but moving her legs very often.

• 1:00 pm- We extended Maureen’s only rest break for today . Diaper was medium wet. There was a little vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Repositioned in her left side. Maureen did not wake up during the process.

• 2:00 pm. - We decided to get Maureen up. She is still sleeping. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the kitchen.

• 2:15 pm- Lunch- half a oatmeal smoothie, cup of coconut water. Maureen had a hard time keeping her eyes open. Coughed once.

• 2:40 pm- Oral care.

• 2:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the recliner.

• 3:05 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment. She looks very relaxed, her eyes are closed.

• 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed twice. She barely opened her eyes from time to time.

• 5:00 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

• 5:05 pm- Dinner- spaghetti with meatballs, cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times. She had her eyes closed the whole time, but kept opening her mouth and chewed very well.

• 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat, 5 mg of Olanzapine and the antibiotic with apple sauce.

• 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

• 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Her diaper was medium wet and she had a very small soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Applied Cetaphil lotion on her face , hands and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

• We noticed today during the course of the day that Maureen’s left eye was tearing and her left nostril running.
