Sunday November 21, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:22am Our day begins. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied the barrier film followed by Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We cleaned the area under Maureen’s right breast, inner right forearm, and her waistline using the Aloe Vesta cleansing foam, dried, and applied a thin layer of Nystatin cream. We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after using the Hoyer lift.

• 8:52am Administered half of thyroid medication with applesauce prior to breakfast. Maureen will eat a cheese omelet, breakfast sausages, and a banana with 4 oz of prune juice and a cup of water for breakfast.

• 9:26am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce followed by a spoonful of honey.

• 9:30am Oral care. The area above Maureen’s implant looks the same as yesterday.

• 9:40am Facial cleanse.

• 10:02am We headed to the front room to the recliner and now watching tv.

• 10:30am Smoothie time.

• 11:00am Trimmed and filed Maureen’s fingernails.

• 11:25am Andy came for a visit to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:40am We headed to the bedroom for Maureen’s first rest in bed. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M Cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Maureen is turned to her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.

• 1:00pm We roused Maureen from her rest. Her diaper is wet and she had a small bowel movement. We cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:16pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat half of a ham sandwich with avocado mash and homemade soup. She will drink one cup of water.

• 2:10pm Oral care.

• 2:40pm Barb is here for a visit.

• 3:00pm We took Maureen to bed for her second rest time. We transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Her diaper is wet and she had a small bowel movement. We cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.
