Sunday, May 31 Daytime update

• 9:30 am- Maureen is sleeping. She is comfortably lying on her left side, no signs of pain or discomfort.

• 9:50 am- Maureen is awake now.

• 10:00 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

• 10:05 am- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

• 10:20 am- Maureen had 6 oz of thickened water with squeezed tangerine in it.

• 10:25 am- Maureen’s diaper was light wet. We changed it. Cleaned and applied Sureprep barrier film and Cavilon cream. Dressed Maureen and transferred her to the front room.

• 10:40 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

• 10:45 am- Breakfast- omelette, 6 oz of thickened prune juice with 1/2 cup of MiraLAX. Maureen coughed twice, suction machine was used.

• 11:30 am- Morning oral care. Facial and hand care routine followed.

• 11:35 am- Administered 20 ml of cough syrup.

• 12:15 pm- Maureen finished 10 oz of thickened sparkling water. Coughed once.

• 1:00 pm- Maureen enjoyed a fruit yogurt for a snack. Coughed once.

• 1:30 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of cold thickened lemon and tangerine water. No coughs.

• 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her rest break. Her diaper was heavy wet and she had a large soft bowel movement. We cleaned and changed her. There was a little redness on her abdominal area. We applied Nystatin powder on it. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:20 pm.

• 2:30 pm- Maureen’s friend and neighbor- Susan, came to visit.

• 3:20 pm- Maureen’s rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her . Dressed, transferred her to the wheelchair and went to the back patio.

• 4:00 pm- Maureen finished 10 oz of thickened coconut water. No coughs.

• 4:10 pm- We did Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol while outside.

• 4:30 pm- We came back inside.

• 4:40 pm- Dinner- Spaghetti with meat sauce, 4 oz of thickened water. Maureen coughed twice.

• 5:40 pm - Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat, 20 ml of Geri Tussin and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

• 5:50 pm- Evening oral care.

• 6:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
