Sunday, May 18 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is asleep, laying on her left side.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is still deeply asleep.

  • 9:15 am- Tom and I repositioned Maureen on her right side. Her diaper was still dry, she continued sleeping during the process.

  • 9:25 am- Maureen is waking up. She is calm, no signs of discomfort.

  • 9:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 9:40 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was dry. We still changed it. There was a lot of thick brownish vaginal discharge. We cleaned, applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum area, Cavilon cream on inner tights and Calazinc on the more visible redness this morning. Washed Maureen’s upper body. There was no redness observed. We dressed her and transferred to the recliner.

  • 9:55 am- Maureen had 8 oz of lemon water.

  • 10:00 am- Breakfast- omelette, 1/2 of banana, 10 oz of water, mixed with a little bit of sparkling water for taste. Maureen coughed three times, suction machine was used.

  • 10:35 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

  • 10:45 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:50 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am-We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. There was no vaginal discharge. We cleaned and changed. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. She slept for half an hour during her break. Diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- Chicken noodle soup, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times, we used the suction machine.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:00 pm.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Diaper was medium wet. There was a brownish spot on the diaper. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:15 pm- Sister Roberta arrived.

  • 3:50 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, apple and banana. Maureen coughed twice. She had 4 oz of water.

  • 4:55 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- spaghetti with sausage. Maureen had 6 oz of water. She coughed and sneezed a lot.

  • 5:35 pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was dry , there was a brownish spot on it.Tom and I changed it and cleaned her. Applied Cavilon cream and Calazinc cream. Cleaned Maureen’s face and applied Cetaphil lotion. Applied lotion on her hands and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
