Sunday, March 16 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen opened her eyes , got some sips of water and closed her eyes again.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is opening her eyes. She is calm and relaxed.

  • 8:40 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce. While sitting in bed Maureen had 5 oz of water.

  • 8:50 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet. She had a little trace of brownish vaginal discharge on her diaper only. The redness on the right anal area is still present. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum area and Cavilon cream on inner tights and on the redness. Finished dressing and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:05 am- Breakfast- We started with another 5 oz of water. Then Maureen had an omelette, 1/4 of a pear and 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen coughed twice. We reclined the chair during breakfast because of her leaning forward.

  • No Miralax

  • 9:45 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with apple sauce.

  • 9:50 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:55 am- Facial routine.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen finished another 10 oz cup of water.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy came for Sunday service.

  • 11:25 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:35 am.

  • 12:35 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over. Her diaper was medium wet and she had a medium soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.

  • 12:55 pm- Lunch- Parm. walleye, peas and carrots, tzatziki sauce, 10 oz cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed once.

  • 1:40 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:55 pm- Maureen finished her 10 oz cup of water.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:10 pm.

  • 3:00 pm- We got Maureen up. Diaper was dry. We transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:10 pm- Sister Roberta arrived for Maureen’s treatment.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, apple and kiwi. Maureen coughed twice. She had 2 oz of water.

  • 4:55 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Gnocchi in vodka sauce with meatballs. Maureen enjoyed it, coughed twice. She had 3 oz of water.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:15 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was heavy wet. There was a slight brownish vaginal discharge on the diaper only. We cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet.
