Sunday January 30, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake.

• 8:15am Our day begins. Filed Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. Washed the inner folds of Maureen’s skin and saw no areas of redness. Diaper is wet - we cleaned up, applied no sting barrier film, Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, and put on a new diaper. We got dressed and transferred Maureen to the Geri chair.

• 8:34am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by half thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 8:50am Breakfast - chicken sausages, ham, tomato, and cheese omelet, banana, cup of water, and 4 oz prune juice.

  • Maureen coughed twice.

• 9:28am Administered 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce and 20mL Guaifenesin.

• 9:35am Oral care.

• 9:40am Facial routine.

• 9.55am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 11:00am Maureen fell asleep in the recliner for 30 minutes.

• 11:20am Deacon Andy came for a visit to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a fresh diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows behind her and a pillow in between her legs. Maureen will rest in bed for one hour starting at 11:45am.

• 12:45pm Rest period is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet - freshened up and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after.

• 1:05pm Lunch - lentil soup, half turkey sandwich, green beans, sliced tomato and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen did not cough during lunch.

• 1:40pm Administered 20mL Guaifenesin.

• 1:45pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 3:00pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Diaper is wet - cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and a pillow in between her legs. Maureen will rest in bed for one hour starting at 3:15pm.

• 4:15pm Rest Period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper is dry. We got dressed and transferred Maureen to the day chair using the Hoyer lift. We headed to the front room after. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 5:30pm Dinner - Organic broccoli Cheddar stuffed chicken breast.

  • Maureen coughed twice during dinner.

• 5:50pm Administered 5mg Olanzapine with yogurt, 7.5mL Vimpat, and 20mL Guaifenesin.

• 5:55pm Oral care followed by facial cleanse and application of Cetaphil moisturizing lotion to face, hands, and arms.

• 6:15pm Bedtime. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Diaper is wet - cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Vicks applied to chest. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.
