Sunday, January 26 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is just calmly waking up. She is laying on her left side.

  • 8:15 am- Maureen is awake, Tom is giving her some water via swab.

  • 8:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet, there was a little clear vaginal discharge. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. We washed Maureen’s upper body. No redness observed. Dressed Maureen and transferred her to the kitchen.

  • 8:50 am- Breakfast- omelette, 1/4 of a pear, 8 oz of water . Maureen coughed twice. We reclined her chair after breakfast.

  • 9:25 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with apple sauce.

  • 9:30 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:40 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:00 - Maureen is resting in the chair, listening to music, finishing the cup of water.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is closing her eyes.

  • 11:15 am- Maureen took a 40 minutes nap.

  • 11:20 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper is dry. We positioned her on her right side at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- salmon burger with green peas and tater tots, 8 oz cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. Maureen will lay on her left side for an hour starting at 2:10 pm.

  • 3:05 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 3:10 pm- Sister Roberta arrived .

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen looks very relaxed, closing her eyes.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. No coughs.

  • 5:00 pm- Maureen is finishing 8 oz cup of water. Her diaper is dry.

  • 5:05 pm- Dinner - Manicotti with cheese, spinach, mushrooms, onion and tomato, 8 oz cup of water mixed with a little sparkling water. Maureen coughed once.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce. Maureen finished her forth - 8 oz cup of water.

  • 6.00 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:20 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, feet and legs. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen had a good day today. She ate well, minimal coughing, was able to sit straight in the chair. Had about 3/ oz of liquids. Gave us a couple smiles.

    We used the new Journey care wet wipes. They seem pretty good . I really liked them.
