Sunday, December 8 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is awake. Tom said that she was in and out of sleep since 6:30 , taking sips of water when appropriate.

  • 8:30 am - We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was dry. We washed her upper body. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:45 am- Breakfast- Omelette, 6 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax, activia yogurt, cup of water, sips of coffee. Maureen coughed four times, we used the suction machine to help her.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 9:15 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with yogurt.

  • 9:30 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:40 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:00 am- We transferred Maureen to the living room.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is closing her eyes.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen has been sleeping for half an hour.

  • 11:10 am- Deacon Andy came for the Sunday service.

  • 11:20 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Her diaper was medium wet with very little clear vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:35 am.

  • 12:35 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ends. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred to the kitchen.

  • 12:45 pm- Lunch- Oatmeal smoothie, cup of water. Maureen had an episode of sneezing and coughing , her face was red. We used the suction machine to help her.

  • 1:30 pm- Maureen is comfortably resting in the reclined chair, listening to the Christmas songs.

  • 1:50 pm- Applied a pea size of Triamcinolone cream to Maureen’s right hand.

  • 2:20 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was medium wet. There was no vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:35 pm.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- melons, pear and kiwi. No coughs .

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- pasta with meatballs, cup of water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:15 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, upper and lower extremities. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

    - T- 97.5

    - O2 - 97

    - P- 55

  • 6:50 pm- Maureen is falling asleep.
