Sunday, August 31 Daytime update

• 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, laying on her left side.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

• 8:45 am - Maureen is awake. She is calm and relaxed. No signs of distress or discomfort.

• 8:55 am - We placed Maureen in an upright position and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

• 9:00 am- Tom and I started the day with changing a medium wet diaper. There was a small v. discharge spot on it . We cleaned Maureen, applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on inner tights. Then we washed Maureen’s upper body. There was a redness on her left underarm. We dried and applied anti fungal powder. Dressed Maureen and transferred to the kitchen.

• 9:20 am- Maureen finished 8 oz of lemon water, drinking from a cup . Coughed once.

• 9:25 am- Breakfast- omelette, half of banana, 10 oz of electrolyte water . Maureen coughed three times, sneezed four times, she was able to get some phlegm out.Suction machine was used.

• 10:10 am- Morning oral care.

• 10:15 am- We applied sunscreen and headed out.

• 11:00 am- We came back from a nice walk. Sat outside on the patio. Facial and hand care routine was done.

• 11:15 am- Deacon Andy came in.

• 11:25 am- We got inside and transferred Maureen to bed for her first rest break. Diaper was dry but she had a large soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed it. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 11:40 am.

• 12:40 pm Maureen’s first break is over. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed it , dressed Maureen and transferred her to the recliner.

• 12:55 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

• 1:05 pm- Lunch- tuna salad , pickled beets and spinach and kale Greek yogurt dip, 11 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice, sneezed several times.

• 1:45 pm- Oral care.

• 1:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. She will lay down on her right side for an hour, starting at 2:05 pm.

• 3:05 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ent. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner

• 3:20 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

• 3:40 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon. apple and banana. Maureen had two dry coughs.

• 4:00 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

• 4:45 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

• 5:00 pm- Dinner- fish roll, mushed potatoes, zucchini, tomato and onion bake, 5 oz of water mixed with a little sparkling water. Maureen had four dry coughs, many sneezes.

• 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

• 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

• 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet with a small soft bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Wiped her face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands, legs and feet . We applied Nystatin on the redness on Maureen’s left underarm. There was a slight redness on her abdomen , applied Nystatin cream. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
