Sunday, August 17 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, laying on her left side.

    Nasal oxygen is ON. O2-97

  • 8:20am- Maureen opened her eyes, Tom gave her some sips of water via swab and she closed her eyes soon after.

  • 8:50 am- Maureen opened her eyes. She looked calm and relaxed, no visible signs of distress or pain. Will give her a few more minutes . She coughed three times and was able to get some phlegm out. Suction machine was used. We noticed a little trace of blood around her right nostril. Cleaned and used Saline spray.

  • 9:00 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

    We then proceeded with changing a medium wet diaper. Tom and I cleaned and changed it. Applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. Dressed Maureen and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 9:15 am- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 9:30 am- Maureen had 5 oz of electrolytes water.

  • 9:40 am- Breakfast- omelette, half of banana, another 5 oz of electrolyte water. Maureen coughed twice, suction machine used.

  • 10:15 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

  • 10:20 am- Administered 20 ml of Geri Tussin with applesauce.

  • 10:25 am- Morning oral care.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen is relaxing in the recliner, had another 10 oz of water mixed with apple juice.

  • 11:15 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Her diaper was dry. We did a Saline spray and positioned her on her right side at 11:30 am.

    O2-94

  • 12:30 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over. She was napping on and off. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 12:45 pm- Lunch- lightly toasted turkey and cheese sandwich, avocado and fresh tomato, 10 oz cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times.

    O2-95

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:40 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. We used the Saline spray and positioned her on the right side.

    O2-96.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 3:15 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, apple and banana. She coughed twice.

  • 4:00 pm- Administered 20 ml of Geri Tussin with applesauce.

  • 4:30 pm- Maureen had 8 oz of lemon water.

  • 4:40 pm- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Homemade spaghetti with meat sauce, little rice pudding for dessert. Maureen had 5 oz of lemon water. Only two small coughs.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Applied Cavilon cream. Wiped her face. Applied Cetaphil lotion on her legs and feet. We used Saline spray to moisturize Maureen’s nostrils. Positioned her on the left side. Nasal oxygen is ON.

  • Maureen had 43 oz of liquids today. She ate well, seemed better, looked like she had more energy today. Gave us a few big smiles. Coughing was minimal, usually small wet coughs, no phlegm.

Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen's on her left side - awake and calm. Tom informed that she woke up slightly jumpy for 10mins, all vital signs within normal limits. She tolerated sips of water via swab after. 8:40AM
