Sunday August 15, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 7:00am Maureen is wide awake, eyes open and mumbling to herself. She has been awake since 5:00am. She is lying on her right side. Diaper is slightly wet.

• 8:15am Maureen has been sleeping on and off for the past hour. She is now more awake and talking.

• 9:10am Our day begins. Diaper is wet, Maureen was cleaned thoroughly with warm wipes from the purple packet. No redness seen. Transferred to Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:25am Administered half a tablet of thyroid medication.

• 9:30am Breakfast time. Maureen enjoyed a corned beef omelet courtesy of Djon and a banana. She also drank half a cup of prune juice and a cup of water. Maureen coughed once. Posture is great with assistance of green wedge pillows.

• 10:15am Administered the rest of morning medications — Lisinopril and baby Aspirin.

• 10:25am Oral care and facial using Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer.

• 11:00am Maureen’s pull-up is still dry but we decided to go to the bathroom anyway. Upon arrival, Maureen had just urinated in her pull-up. After 12 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. Changed to a new pull-up and cleaned thoroughly. No red marks seen.

• 11:30am We took Maureen outside for a stroll. We returned at 12:25pm.

• 12:35pm we had lunch outside in the back patio. Maureen enjoyed a half of corned beef sandwich with Brussels sprouts and a serving of lentil soup. She also had one full cup of water and a bottle of organic coconut water.

• 1:30pm Maureen’s pull-up is medium wet so we headed to the bathroom. After 10 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. We headed to the recliner afterwards.
