September 27 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. She is stirring lightly in bed—having a nice chat with herself.

• Our day officially began @ 8:05AM. Maureen is in good form. She is talkative. Maya cleaned her thoroughly with the warmed wipes from the purple packet. We are going to use these wipes on the first change in order to use them up. Maya applied the 3M Barrier film to the pressure sore area and the 3M Barrier Cream to all skin areas exposed to urine and/or feces. We neglected to apply the Muciprocin Ointment to the bites. It will be applied on the next change and then later again in the afternoon.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:35AM. Maureen is tilting a bit to her left. We used one of the wedge pillows and the My Pillow to adjust her position. Before beginning, Maya administered the thyroid pill. Coughing was a little above average this morning: 3-4 times. Several of them were of the phlegmy variety.

• 8:55AM - Maya administered the blood pressure pill and baby aspirin.

• 9:06AM - Maureen has had two extended phlegmy coughing episodes in the last 5 minutes or so. I think it is time we consider buying a suction machine.

• General Observations @ 9:31AM> Maureen has been uttering the low moan/groan for the last 30 minutes. She has coughed more phlegm up today than I have ever seen. Her arms are positioned mid-torso—somewhat tightly clenched. Hands are loose. She seems somewhat disoriented so far this morning.

• 10:45AM - Organic fruit smoothie. Made on premises by the original organic master herself.

• 11:15AM - Maya checked the pull up. It was wet. We took Maureen to the bedroom for a clean and change. As we were removing the diaper, Maureen urinated a little more. Maya cleaned her using the 3M Cavilon Cleanse Spray. We put a new pull up on her and proceeded to place her in the lift recliner in the front room to watch the TPIR.

• 1:15PM - Lunch | Maya served 1/2 a ham and Swiss cheese sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 a sliced tomato and a small serving of spinach.

• 2:30PM - Maya noted that urine had seeped through the pull up to Maureen's shorts. We headed to the bedroom for a clean and change. Maya cleaned Maureen with the Cavilon No Rinse Cleanser. Prior to getting Maureen dressed, Maya applied that afternoon dose of Muciprocin Ointment to the "bug bites."We proceeded to the front room where we placed Maureen into the lift recliner.
