Marie arrived at 7:30, Maureen was still asleep. Around 8:45, she started stirring a bit and quietly talking.

9:00am, we started a bed bath, after washing face and neck, we removed her shirt to con the bath. As we were cleaning, we saw that the rash has returned below her left breast, after cleaning and drying her abdominal area, NYSTATIN was applied, patted down to a thin layer, allowing it to absorb into the skin, a fresh shirt was put on. We continued on bathing and changing a heavy wet diaper, cleaned up very well, applied the CAVILON products, put on a fresh diaper, finished dressing and put the sling in place to transfer to the Geri chair for breakfast.

10:00am, Marie administered the thyroid pill with applesauce, banana, oatmeal, 1/2 cup of prune juice and a full cup of water accompanied breakfast. NO MIRALAX TODAY.

A spoonful of honey was a treat afterwards.

11:30am, oral care and some light exercise were on the agenda, after a little catnap.

12:15pm, we took Maureen to the bedroom, set the sling in place, transferred her to bed and changed her diaper, medium wet and also had a medium sized, loose BM, ( not diarrhea) , cleaned very well and reapplied more CAVILON cream, put new diaper on and positioned her on her left side for an hour’s rest.

1:15pm, Marie and Barb changed Maureen from a medium wet diaper, cleaned and reapplied CAVILON products and redressed her for lunch. Using the Hoyer lift, she was transferred to the Geri chair and brought out to the kitchen.

1:45pm, lunchtime, the ladies whipped up a 1/2 of a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat bread, some homemade chicken noodle soup, care of Chef Maya and a full cup of water. Maureen was almost asleep a couple of times during lunch. Oral care followed immediately and then transferred to the recliner, awaiting Sister Roberta’s visit.

2:30pm, Sister Roberta arrived for her soothing therapy session.
