Saturday November 27, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is asleep. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:19am Our day begins. Marie and I gave Maureen a complete bed bath. Applied Tolycen to both right and left big toe and allowed to air dry for at least 10 minutes. Maureen’s diaper is wet - used 3M cleanser spray to clean and applied 3M no sting barrier film to the sacrum followed by Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas and put on a new diaper. Cleaned under Maureen’s right breast, inner right forearm, and waistline using Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. Allowed these areas to dry and applied Nystatin cream to inner right forearm and below right breast due to some redness.

• 8:50am Marie did some upper and lower body exercises in bed with Maureen. We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:19am Breakfast time. Maureen started with a spoonful of honey followed by her thyroid medication with applesauce. She will eat a bowl of oatmeal with a banana and 4 oz of prune juice and a cup of water.

• Maureen coughed twice during breakfast.

• 9:42am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce. Oral care followed after. The area above the implant looks the same - slightly discolored.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:03am We headed to the front room and helped her into her recliner.

• 10:40am Fruit smoothie time.

• 11:15am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray. Maureen urinated during the process. We put on a new diaper after. Maureen’s first rest period began at 11:38am. She is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.

• 12:40pm Maureen’s rest is through. Her diaper is wet and she had a very small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. We headed to the Geri chair after using the Hoyer lift.

• 1:05pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat half a ham sandwich with Brussels sprouts and vegetables along with a bottle of coconut water.

• Maureen did not cough at all during lunch.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after.

• 2:35pm Sister Roberta has arrived.

• 3:30pm Fruit snack time.
