Saturday July 8, 2023 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen just opened her eyes. Tom tells me she’s been in and out of sleep since 6:15, had some water via swab.

• 8:40am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed head, positioned on her back and administered levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:50am Marie and I cleaned and changed a light wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier toMaureen’s sacrum, cream to her inner thighs and button checks area. No vaginal discharge observed. We continued to give Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:15am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie and 6oz prune juice with 1/4 cap of Miralax for breakfast. She coughed once during breakfast.

Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap with 6oz prune juice.

• 9:35am Administered Lisinopril and Loratadine with smoothie. Reclined Geri chair one notch.

• 9:40am Oral care and facial routine.

• 10:15am Maureen’s snoozing in the chair (20 minutes).

• 10:55am Maureen finished her first cup of lemon water.

• 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper and positioned on her right side starting at 11:15.

• 12:15pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.

• 12:30pm Lunch: cauliflower soup, sliced turkey and cheese salad with steamed baby carrots, Greek yogurt for dessert and a cup of lemon water. three coughs and two sneezes during lunch- nose was runny.

• 1:05pm Oral care. Reclined Geri chair one notch before oral routine, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 2:00pm Maureen finished her second cup of lemon water.

• 2:05pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was wet, cleaned and cleaned. Positioned on her Lt side, break #2 starts at 2:20.

• We did not observed any vaginal discharge or trace of it during diaper changes.

• 3:30 Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (clenshaw and honeydew melon).

Daytime summary

Maureen started her day with full opened eyes, relaxed arms, and good sitting posture. Her energy faded down after breakfast and up again after her rest break. She’s been calm and quite today.
