Saturday February 19, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake and chatty. She is noticeably full of energy this morning.

• 8:15am Our day begins with a complete bed bath. There is some redness in the fold of Maureen’s waist so I applied a thin layer of Nystatin to the area. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Diaper is medium wet - freshened up, applied no sting barrier film, Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, and put on a new diaper. We finished dressing.

• 8:34am Marie is helping Maureen through a set of stretches and exercises in bed.

• 9:00am Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift. We headed to the kitchen after.

• 9:08am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:10am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 4 oz prune juice, cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed twice.

• 9:37am Administered 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:45am Oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:00am We brought Maureen’s Geri chair one notch down.

• 10:30am Fruit smoothie.

• 11:00am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and a pillow in between her legs. Rest break #1 officially begins at 11:16am.

• 12:16pm Rest break #1 is over. Maureen’s diaper is light wet - we cleaned and changed. We trans Maureen to the Geri chair after and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:34pm Lunch - half corned beef sandwich, homemade lentil soup, garlic green beans, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen coughed twice.

• 1:05pm Oral care.

• 1:11pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 2:30pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed to a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side. She will rest in bed for one hour starting at 2:40pm.

• 3:45pm Rest break #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a medium, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after.

• 4:00pm Fruit snack.
