Saturday August 19, 2023 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’ s asleep with Tom by her side, she’s lying on her left.

• 8:30am Maureen is in and out of sleep.

• 8:45am Maureen is now awake, raised her bed head and administered 75 mcc of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:50am Marrie and I started the day by giving Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Applied Hydrocortisone to redness on the left arm hold. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 9:15am Blood pressure is 107/64.

• 9:20am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 6oz prune juice with 1/4cap Miralax and couple of spoons of Greek yogurt for breakfast. She coughed three times coughing out some phlegm.

• 9:45am Administered 25 mg Metoprolol and 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• .Reclined Geri chair one notch.

• 9:50am Morning oral care and facial routine performed.

• 10:00am Maureen had a coughung/sneezing with red face episode, we used the pump to help clearing her throat. Her nose was runny too.

• 10:10am Saline Neb treatment.

• 10:20am Maureen’s snoozing in the chair.

• 11:10am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and positioned on her right side at 11:25am.

• 12:15pm First break ends. Diaper was dry; dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair with ketoconazole shampoo. Headed to the kitchen.

• Blood pressure is 104/74.

• 12:30pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair. Reclined Geri chair one notch, she was leaning forward.

• 12:45pm Lunch: potato soup, grilled shrimps, fresh tomato and olive salad, and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. She coughed once during lunch.

• Maureen finished her first cup of lemon water and half cup of sparkling water.

• 1:20pm Oral care.

• 1:30 Maureen is snoozing from time to time.

• 2:15pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and positioned on her Lt side at 2:30pm.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper, dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:30 Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon and green apple). No coughs.

• Blood pressure 144/97.

Summary

Maureen sounded congested during and after breakfast however, congestion went away soon after coughing out some phlegm and the saline Neb treatment. She ate her meal with good energy and loos pretty good.
