Saturday April 29, 2023 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s asleep positioned on her left side. Marrie tells me, she was awake briefly and receiving zips of water via swab from Tom when she clocked in earlier at 7:30. She’s been in and out of sleep since.

• 8:30am Maureen is sleeping.

• 8:50am Maureen is awake, we turned her on the back, raised the bed head and administered 75mcc Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:00am Marrie and I changed and cleaned Maureen’s a dry diaper , there was a pebble size- formed bowel movement. Back end area looks good, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. We washed Maureen’s upper body with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, no redness observed. Dressed and transferred to the dining are.

• 9:25am Breakfast: Buttermilk pancake with peach & cottage cheese, 1/2 pear, 6oz of prune juice w/1/2 cap of Miralax. Coughed three times and sneezed once. Reclined Geri chair one notch.

• 9:45am Administered Lisinopril and Loratadine with apple sauce.

• 9:50am Oral care and facial routine performed.

• 10:00am Maureen’s snoozing in the chair.

• 11:15am Maureen is enjoying her fruit smoothie (1/2). She finished her first cup of lemon water.

• 11:45am Transferred Maureen to bed for her first break. Diaper was md wet, we changed and cleaned then positioned on her right side at 12m. Maureen closed her eyes for about 10 minutes during break, she seems tired today

• 12:50pm Firs break ended. We changed and cleaned a md wet diaper, dressed and headed her to the dining area for lunch.

• 1:05pm Lunch: Minestrone soup, Shrimp salad, and a cup of Vitaminwater diluted. Maureen coughed once and nose was briefly runny. 1:30pm Reclined Geri chair one notch.

• 1:35pm Oral care. WE ‘RE BEING VERY GENTLE WHEN BRUSHING MAUREEN ‘S RIGHT SUPERIOR MOLARS, HER GUM WAS BLEEDING YESTERDAY.

• 2:25pm We transferred Maureen to bed for her second break, changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and a rectal suppository given to her to help her go. Positioned on her Lt side, break #2 starts at 2:40.

• 330pm The suppository did its magic and Maureen had a lar firm bowel movement, diaper was md wet. Marr and I changed and cleaned. Dressed and headed Maureen to the recliner.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack.

Daytime summary

Maureen‘s energy was low throughout the day, she seems tired and sleepy. Her appetite was good though, ate meals well, had a moderate amount of water and as a result, every diaper was wet.
