November 8 daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is in and out of sleep. Eyes half open. She is receptive to sips of water via oral swab. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:30am Maureen continues to go in and out of sleep.

• 8:50am Our morning begins. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Maya and I performed a clean and change and applied 3M products. We noticed redness under Maureen's waist - we applied a layer of Nystatin to the area. Will continue to monitor. We next washed Maureen's upper body using warmed wipes from the purple packet. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:08am Administered Levothyroxine with applesauce and 30mL Docusate Sodium.

• 9:10am Breakfast - oatmeal, banana, 8 oz prune juice, cup of water.

• 9:38am Administered Lisinopril and Loratidine with applesauce.

• 9:43am Oral Care.

• 9:50am Morning facial routine.

• 10:00am We reclined Maureen's geri chair down one notch.

• General Observation @ 10:15am - Breakfast was rough today. Maureen's energy level was great but congestion is heavy today. She coughed a total of 9 times, red faced, and Maya and I noted the grinding sound once again. She sneezed 5 times and her nose is runny. Maya and I have had to use the suction machine a number of times to help her clear her mouth of phlegm. Maureen is asleep in the geri chair as of 10:12am.

• 10:50am Maureen is beginning to wake up.

• 11:00am Fruit smoothie. No coughs.

• 11:15am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Maureen's diaper is heavy wet and she had a medium, loose bowel movement - Maya and I performed a clean and change. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:34am.

• 12:34pm Rest break #1 is over. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Maya and I performed a clean and change and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:50pm Lunch - rice and meatball soup, egg salad, sliced tomato, cup of water, bottle of organic coconut water. No coughs.

• 1:13pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Maureen's diaper is light wet - Maya and I performed a clean and change. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:10pm.

• 3:10pm Rest break #2 is over. Maureen's diaper is heavy wet - Maya and I performed a clean and change and headed to the front room.

• 3:25pm Fruit snack.
