6:57am Maureen is lightly stirring. Her diaper is dry and she is lying on her left side.
8:00am Our day begins. Maureen’s diaper is wet; cleaned with aloe vesta foam and wipes. Applied Mupirocin on the two spots and Cavilon on the pressure sore. Put on a fresh pull-up and transferred to Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.
The pressure sore and the two spots look significantly better than before. Less red, less in size.
8:36am Administered thyroid pill prior to breakfast.
8:40am Breakfast time. Maureen will eat oatmeal with a banana, 1/2 cup prune juice and a full cup of water.
9:01am Administered Lisinopril and baby aspirin with applesauce followed by a spoonful of honey.
9:05am Oral care. No bleeding occurred. Gums are looking great - no redness and black gunk found on gums.
9:45am We went outside for a stroll around the neighborhood. We managed to walk all the way to St John Brebeuf. We returned home at 11:02am.
11:11am We headed to the bathroom. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet. After 10 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. We cleaned up, put on a new pull-up, and headed to the front room to lay in the recliner.
11:36am Smoothie time.
12:55pm Lunch time. Maureen ate a hotdog with peaches and potato salad and she drank one cup of water.
1:35pm Oral care. No bleeding this time either.
2:15pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Diaper is medium wet. Cleaned, reapplied Mupirocin and put on a new pull-up. We headed to the recliner in the front room after.
3:15pm Maureen slept briefly, when she woke, a plate of fruit was prepared for her to enjoy.
