Monday November 1, 2021 Swingshift Update

• 4:00pm Maureen is lying comfortably in the recliner.

• 5:45pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Maureen’s diaper is wet - cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, put on a new diaper, and we transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 6:35pm Dinnertime. Maureen will eat a serving of chicken from Raisin Canes along with some close slaw, fries, and buttered Texas toast along with a cup of water.

  • Maureen had a very noticeable gurgling sound coming from her throat throughout her dinner. After much coaxing, Maureen expelled a good amount of phlegm and the gurgling sound stopped.

• 7:24pm Administered 5mg OLANZAPINE with pudding and 7.5mL VIMPAT. Oral care, facial cleanse and application of Cetaphil moisturizing lotion to face, hands, and arms followed after.

• 7:46pm Bedtime. Transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Maureen’s diaper is dry. Applied Ciclopirox to both right and left big toe. Vicks applied to chest. Head of the bed elevated. Body pillows placed on either side of bed. Maureen is turned to her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs.
