Monday January 8, 2024 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s awake with Tom by her side, had sips of water after waking up a little earlier. She lies on her left side.

• 7:00am Maureen is sleepy.

• 7:30am She’s closing her eyes from time to time.

• 8:00am Maureen is asleep.

• 8:30am She’s still sleeping.

• 9:00am Maureen woke up with slight twitching for few minutes, calming down soon after. Pulse went up to 113 and immediately down to 80s.

• 9:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed and administered 75mcg with apple sauce.

• 9:30am Our day starts giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Joanna and I cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:50am Administered 50mg Senna plus w/apple sauce (crushed), a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair for Maureen’s comfort.

• 10:00am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Coughed twice, able to grab huge phlegm with the assistance of the suction pump. Runny nose after.

• No Miralax, Senna plus instead (50mg).

• 10:30am Morning oral care.

• 10:40am Saline Neb treatment.

• 10:50am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 11:00am Maureen sits with relaxed arms listening to her playlist.

• Maureen napped about 15 minutes once done with the morning routine.

• 11:25am Blood pressure: 105/64, P76.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:45.

• 12:30pm First resting break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Chicken soup, tuna salad with steamed carrots, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed three times and had two red face with runny nose.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• Maureen had a little treat; Italian ice;). 2:20pm Maureen had 3/4 cup of water.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her left at 2:45.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed and wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs.
