Monday April 8, 2024 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen is sleepy lying on her left side.

  • 8:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:30am Our day starts. Joanna and I washed Maureen’s upper body with warmed purple wipe. Noticed slight redness remains by her left armpit, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:50am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with 1/4 cap of Miralax, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with couple spoons of Greek yogurt, and a cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed twice during breakfast and was able to get rid of some phlegm on her own.

  • 9:15am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

  • Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • 9:30am Morning oral care.

  • 9:40am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

  • 10:00am Maureen sits relaxed while watching a Disney movie.

  • Maureen stayed awake through the whole film, finishing a cup of ginger tea in the meantime.

  • 11:00am Blood pressure: 115/64, P 75.

  • 11:25am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting period. Diaper was heavy wet with a Medium-soft BM, cleaned and changed, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs then, positioned on her right side.

  • 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:40pm Lunch: Sweet peas soup, chicken salad, fresh tomato, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Coughed twice, sneezed once.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch during meal, Maureen was leaning forward.

  • 1:30pm Oral care.

  • 2:00pm Maureen closed her eyes for about 15 minutes, was awake the rest of the time watching the eclipse on tv.

  • Maureen had a cup of lemon water.

  • Carolyn visited Maureen.

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper then, positioned on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed, dressed and headed to the living room.

  • 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
