Monday April 22, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is sleepy, lying on her left with Tom by her bedside. He tells, Maureen woke up around 6:15am, accepted sips of water via swab, in and out of sleep since.

• 8:30am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:40am Merianne and I started the day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, cleaning /changing a medium wet diaper, applying Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Redness spot by her left armpit it’s still visible, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:00am Administered 2-50mg Senna plus (crushed) with apple sauce, followed by a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:20am Breakfast: Coffee, 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with couple spoons of Greek yogurt. No coughs.

• 9:35am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: None, Senna plus instead.

• 9:50am Oral care.

• 10:00am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 10:30am Maureen is sitting relaxed and awake while watching a Disney movie.

• 10:40am Blood pressure: 102/59, P 69.

• 11:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed, then positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:40pm Lunch: Broccoli soup, chicken salad, sweet potato, full cup of sparkling water and Italian ice for dessert. Maureen coughed twice and her nose was runny during meal.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• Maureen is in good spirits, smiling during and after lunch quite often.

• Maureen had half cup of ginger tea.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed, then as planned, inserted a suppository. Positioned on her left side at 2:45.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper with a Medium-formed BM. Dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), plus half cup of ginger tea.
