Monday 10-28-24 Daytime summary

8:00am Maureen is asleep again after accepting a couple sips of water around 7:30.

Vitals at this time are;

O2 - 97

Pulse - 53

9:00am We’re going to start making some noise in there, in hopes that she’ll wake up soon.

9:05am Maureen is awake enough to raise the bed and administer her thyroid pill with applesauce. We waited 15 minutes and performed a full bed bath, cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper, no discharge.

9:30am We washed Maureen’s hair and transferred to the kitchen. 9:45, Maureen drank down 6oz of prune juice with 1/2 cap of MIRALAX. Joanna is now drying and styling her hair.

10:00am Joanna mixed up a smoothie consisting of fruits, oatmeal, almond milk and activia yogurt, and gave Maureen her last dose of the antibiotic, for this round. LORATADINE with a little applesauce, and the breakfast service is complete.

10:15am Spa time .. cleanup, oral and facial care are performed. After the spa session, Maureen experienced a very minor episode that lasted about 13 minutes, slightly elevated pulse, no higher than 114, and minor twitching.

10:55am We went to the front room and watched a little Disney channel.

11:30am We transferred to the bedroom, she drank a full cup of lemon water just before us transferring to bed. As we checked the dry diaper, she started to have a large formed BM, so we put her on her side. As she finished, we got her all cleaned up and changed, Maureen was put on her right side and propped up with the wedge pillows. She will stay here for an hour, for rest break #1.

12:40pm We got Maureen up, still dry, we transferred to the kitchen. Joanna prepared some delicious tuna salad, sliced tomatoes and chicken noodle soup. We had to wait for about 15 minutes, she had slightly clenched jaw and blank stare.

1:15pm Luda stopped by for a visit. Maureen is finishing lunch around 1:45.

2:00pm Cleanup and oral care were completed and we’re just relaxing while we listen to music, until the next rest period.

2:30pm Time for rest break #2, we cleaned and changed from a medium wet and medium, firm BM. We got her all cleaned up and laid her on the left side for the next hour. Barb stopped over shortly after Luda left.

3:35pm Rest break #2 has ended, still dry … I attempted a tummy massage, no good. We got her dressed and transferred to the front room for a fresh fruit snack and game shows.
