May 6 daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is asleep. She is lying on her left side. Her eyes open from time to time.

• 8:30am Maureen continues to sleep.

• 9:08am Maureen is just waking up. We sat her upright in bed and gave her sips of water.

• 9:15am 75 mcg Levothyroxine with applesauce.

• 9:45am We begin our morning with a complete bed bath. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Marie and I performed a clean and change, applied Cavilon barrier film to the sacral area, let it dry for at least 30 seconds, and applied Cavilon barrier cream to the perineal area. Marie and I noted white discharge coming from the vaginal area - we cleaned the area with water and applied Monistat to the outer area of the vagina. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 10:10am Breakfast - 1/2 smoothie with 2 tbsp oatmeal, 6 oz prune juice.

• 10:41am Administered 5mg Lisinopril and 10mg Loratidine.

• 10:45am Oral care.

• 10:50am Morning facial routine.

• 10:58am We reclined Maureen's geri chair down one notch.

• 11:10am Maureen is beginning to doze off in the geri chair. Our morning went well - coughing and congestion is minimal. Maureen is centered and upright in the chair. She moves her arms from time to time and she has given us a couple of smiles. We noted no visible signs of discomfort or agitation.

• 11:30am We transferred Maureen in preparation for rest break #1. Her diaper is medium wet - Marie and I performed a clean and change, once again only using water to clean the vaginal area. We noted more white discharge coming from the area. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:45am.

• 12:45pm Rest break #1 ends. Maureen's diaper is dry.

• 1:05pm Marie and I washed and styled Maureen's hair.

• 1:15pm Lunch - Tuna salad, rice casserole with tomato, parmesan crisp with hummus, cup of water, 1/2 cup orange juice with half a cap of Miralax.

• Daily Miralax Dosage - 1/2 cap

• 1:52pm Oral care.

• 2:15pm We transferred Maureen to bed for rest break #2. diaper is light wet - Marie and I performed a clean and change. We once again noted the white discharge. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 2:30pm.

• 3:30pm Rest break #2 ends. Maureen's diaper is dry and there is no trace of any white discharge. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner chair.

• 3:40pm Fruit snack.
