  • 7:00AM - No change. Maureen continues to sleep.

  • 7:30AM - No change. Maureen continues to sleep.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:10AM. She is very chipper and responsive—laughing a few times. Maureen looked rather parched. Maya and I tilted the bed up to 90 degrees and gave Maureen some sips of water. Priority one was the application of the Tolcylen to both big toes. Diaper was light wet. We performed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Next and final step was to clean all areas of focus on Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam and warm wipes from the purple packet. We did not observe any redness/irritation.

  • Breakfast service commenced @ 8:57AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maya started out by giving Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid medication with a wee bit of applesauce.

  • Maureen will consume 6 ounces of prune juice today.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

  • Observations @ 9:11AM> Maureen's energy level dropped in a small window of time. Her eyes are now partially closed. Engagement and communication have now diminished as well. It is amazing to watch how quickly this change takes place.

  • 9:30AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication and Claritin with just a tiny bit of applesauce.

  • 9:40AM - Morning oral care routine

  • Observations @ 9:50AM> Maureen's energy and engagement perked up after Maya completed the morning oral care routine.

  • 10:00AM - We tilted the chair back one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress off of her sacrum.

  • 10:05AM - Morning facial routine including hands and arms

  • 10:25AM - Hand and arm exercises.

  • 10:37AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 10:58AM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. Maya and I completed a clean & change and then placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:10AM - Rest Break #1 begins

  • 12:30PM - Rest Break #1 ends. We added 20 minutes since Maureen will not get a second rest break this afternoon due to her 2:30PM with Sr. Roberta. Diaper was light wet. Maureen had a small formed BM. Maya and I performed a clean & change. We then headed to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:55PM - Lunch | 1/2 an egg salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 a bowl of homemade organic lentil soup and a medley of broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Maureen will drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen had a small serving of rice pudding and a small slice of banana bread baked by Chef Michael Osel.

  • 1:15PM - Michael Osel stooped by the house for a visit. He brought Maureen a loaf of freshly baked banana bread.

  • 1:53PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:25PM - We originally planned to skip Rest Break #2. Sr. Roberta informed us at 2PM that she was not coming. Maya and I took Maureen to the bedroom for a brief rest break.

  • 2:30PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

  • 3:05PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I performed a clean & change. Upon completion, we headed to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:20PM - Afternoon fruit snack
