As we are sure you recall, Maureen went to the Emergency Room at NorthShore Evanston Hospital on Monday July 26. After examining her and performing a number of tests, the doctors determined Maureen had a uterine tract infection (UTI). Based on the results of the urinalysis, it is very likely Maureen contracted the UTI due to the presence of fecal matter in the urethra.
One of our top priorities is to avoid taking Maureen to the emergency room—especially now with the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus on the rise. We know that all of you are fully committed to Maureen’s health and well being and are so very grateful for everything you do to take care of her.
With that in mind, we wanted to take a moment to detail/reinforce some essential best practices to use when cleaning Maureen:
Wear rubber gloves at all times when cleaning Maureen after she has urinated and/or moved her bowel.
Always wipe from front to back. This technique is especially important when cleaning Maureen after a bowel movement
When cleaning after a bowel movement, please apply some Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam to at least one or two of the medicated wipes before you start the cleaning process.
We purchase a large version of the medicated wipes. This is on purpose for your convenience. Please only clean Maureen with a completely unsoiled portion of the wipe. After each pass, fold the wipe over to a fresh/unsoiled portion before making another pass. Repeat this process until Maureen is completely clean.
