One of our top roles/responsibilities as Maureen's caregivers is to ensure we safely, securely and comfortably transfer Maureen using the Hoyer Lift. The most important and challenging aspect of this process is to properly place the sling on Maureen. We must all strive to do this consistently.
We have had a fair amount of turnover in the caregiving team during the last 3-4 months. With that thought in mind, now is a good time for all of us to brush up on sling technique.
There are two key positions: supine and sitting up
Supine

Sitting up

Thank you in advance for taking the time to watch these two videos and for incorporating the key techniques into your daily routines. It will make all the difference in the world to Maureen.
