MAP Care Best Practice | Use of MiraLAX and Colace

As we all know, Maureen has struggled to move her bowels regular during the last couple of weeks. This is most likely due to the large amount of prescription medication she has been ingesting. We have been administering both MiraLAX and Colace during most of this period.

Administer Colace everyday until directed to do otherwise. After a bowel movement, do not administer MiraLAX for the next two days. This will provide Maureen's body the opportunity to produce the next bowel movement without assistance.
