June 25 daytime update

  • 8:30am Maureen is sound asleep. She is lying on her left side.

  • 9:00am Maureen is still sound asleep.

    • O2 90%, respiratory rate 18

  • 9:30am Maureen is now waking up. Joanna and I helped Maureen to a sitting position in bed. Administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 9:45am We began our day with a partial bed bath using warmed wipes from the purple packet. Maureen's diaper is dry - Joanna and I performed a clean and change. We next applied Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, Cavilon barrier film to the sacral area, and Calazinc to the pressure ulcer located on the sacral area. We dressed and headed to the front room via Hoyer lift.

    • The pressure ulcer appears to be completely healed at this point. The affected area is no longer red.

  • 10:03am 10 oz lemon water.

  • 10:11am Breakfast - waffle with butter, grape jelly, and pear. 6 oz prune juice.

  • 10:45am 10mg Loratidine with applesauce.

  • Daily miraLAX dosage - none

  • 10:54am Oral care.

  • 11:00am Nebulizer treatment.

    • We stopped the treatment around 4 minutes in as Maureen had a coughing fit.

  • 11:10am Kelsie, RN is here for Maureen's weekly nurse visit. Lungs clear, congestion heard on the upper section of lungs. We spoke about the concern for Maureen's low oxygen saturation levels while laying in bed. Kelsie says if we choose to we can give Maureen up to 2L of oxygen as needed.

    • Vitals: Temp 98, BP 106/54

    • arm circumference 19.5, leg circumference 31

  • 11:39am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Maureen's diaper is dry. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:48am.

  • 12:48pm Rest break #1 ends. Maureen's diaper is dry. We dressed and headed to the front room via Hoyer lift.

  • 1:10pm Lunch - chicken soup, guacamole, 11 oz coconut water.

  • 1:48pm Oral care.

  • 2:30pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Joanna and I performed a clean and change. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:38pm.

  • 3:38pm Rest break #2 ends. Maureen's diaper is dry. We dressed and headed to the front room via Hoyer lift.

  • 3:51pm Fruit snack.
