  • 6:35AM - Maureen is sleeping/lightly stirring

  • 7:35AM - Maureen continued to sleep/stir. She is chatting with herself occasionally.

  • Our day officially began at 8:02AM. Maureen is in good form. Diaper was dry. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen using warmed wipes from the purple packet. There were no red marks on her posterior.

  • Breakfast service began at 8:28AM. Maureen began to tilt to the left from the moment we placed her in the day chair. She almost immediately began to slump forward significantly as well. Maya is in the process of using one or both of the green wedge pillows to prop her up so that Maureen is at least somewhat upright while eating breakfast.

  • Maureen will consume 1/2 a glass of prune juice during breakfast today.

  • 8:56AM - Morning medications administered—blood pressure and baby aspirin.

  • Despite the significant slumping forward, Maureen had no difficulty whatsoever chewing an swallowing this morning. She did not cough once.

  • Maureen also had absolutely no problem with drinking water and prune juice this morning.

  • 9:30AM - Due to the significant slumping forward, Maya did not even attempt to do any of the hand, arm and leg exercises. We decided it would be best for Maureen's comfort to transfer her to the lift recliner in the living room.

  • 10:00AM - Organic fruit smoothie time

  • 10:42AM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We took Maureen to the bathroom. At the 25 minute mark, Maureen had a large firm bowel movement. She did not urinate in the toilet. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen. There were no red mark's on Maureen's posterior. Maureen's posture was much better while she sat on the commode. We had to use one of the green wedge pillows. That being said, she was more upright than during breakfast.

  • 12:15PM - Lunch. Gourmet food from Maya's kitchen is on the menu today. Maureen enjoyed homemade lentil soup and moussaka. Her posture in the day chair during lunch was poor—although not quite as bad as this morning. We used both green wedge pillows to help adjust her posture.

  • 1:25PM - We decided to check Maureen's pull up. Maya determined it was wet. Since Maureen has a large bowel movement earlier today, we decided to take her the bedroom using the Hoyer lift. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen. There were no red marks on her posterior.

  • 2:03PM - Maureen's posture in the day chair is poor—significant slumping forward and to the left. She has been able to work with Maya on some exercises for the last 30 minutes. We will take her to the lift recliner in the front room in the near future.

  • 2:23PM - Seeing Maureen's posture in the day chair, we decided it would be best to return to the lift recliner in the front room.

  • Maya noted that Maureen will not even rest her head completely against the headrest cushion after we put Maureen in the lift recliner.

  • 3:00PM - Fruit snack

  • 3:50PM - We decided to check Maureen's pull up. Maya determined it was wet. Since Maureen has a large bowel movement earlier today, we decided to take her the bedroom using the Hoyer lift. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen. There were no red marks on her posterior
