  • 6:35AM - Maureen is sleeping soundly—not moving at all.

  • 7:24AM - Maureen remains sound asleep. Not moving at all.

  • 8:00AM - Maureen is beginning to stir lightly—still sleeping.

  • Our day officially began @8:13AM. Maureen is in good form—alert and engaged. He diaper was wet. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen with warmed wipes from the purple packet. We noted no red marks.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:35AM. Maureen is listing a bit to the left—forward slump is minimal at this point. Maya inserted the green wedge pillow horizontally to straighten her posture. Inserting the wedge pillow horizontally kills two birds with one stone. It adjusts Maureen to the right while at the same time serves as a ledge that she/we can plant her left elbow to serve as leverage so that she can sit more erect/slump less.

  • 8:36AM - Thyroid pill administered immediately before breakfast.

  • Maureen enthusiastically drank 1/2 a cup of undiluted prune juice during breakfast this morning.

  • 8:46AM - Morning medications administered—blood pressure and baby aspirin.

  • Maureen coughed only once or twice during breakfast. She had no difficulty with chewing and swallowing.

  • RED RIGHT EYE UPDATE> The lower socket is almost back to normal—just a bit red at this point. Only one eyelash had sleep/gunk on it. Maya will wash/clean Maureen's eyelashes for both eyes with warm water and a touch of Johnson's Baby Shampoo. She will also put over the counter eye drops in each eye.

  • 9:22AM - Forward slump is increasing. Maureen's head is down 5-7 degrees at this point.

  • 9:55AM - Organic fruit smoothie time

  • 10:07AM - Forward slump continues to increase.

  • 10:10AM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was dry. A number of hours had passed since Maureen last urinated. We decided to go to the bathroom preemptively. Waited 15 minutes. Unfortunately, nothing happened. It was worth a try.

  • 10:35AM - Placed Maureen in the lift recliner.

  • 12:15PM - As lunchtime approached, Maya checked the pull up. It was wet. We decided this time to take Maureen to the bedroom for cleaning and changing. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and out on a new pull up. There was no seepage. We noted no red marks on the posterior.

  • 12:33 - Lunch. Today Maureen had a bowl of lentil soup, 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat bread and 1/2 of a sliced tomato. She will also consume 1 12 oz. bottle of coconut water. As with this morning, Maureen's head is tilting hard to the left and slumping forward slightly. Maya inserted the green wedge pillow into the day chair to help straighten out Maureen's posture.

  • 1:45PM - Maureen was beginning to tilt heavily to the left. We decided to head to the lift recliner in the front room. First, Maya checked the pull up. It was wet. No seepage to the shorts occurred. We headed to the bedroom. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a new pull up. There were no red marks on Maureen's posterior.

  • 2:05PM - We took Maureen to the lift recliner. Her head is tilting as hard to the left as I have ever seen it. Additionally, her entire upper torso is exceedingly rigid.

  • 3:35PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We headed to the bedroom. Turns out the pull up was soaked. The urine did not seep through to her shorts. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks.
